Galveston wedding planner Wedding Wednesday tip's

It's wedding Wednesday and we are excited to share 5 reasons why you should choose a first look.
The tradition of not seeing each other prior to the wedding was born during the days of arranged marriages, and slowly changed into " bad luck"  for the couple to see each other prior to the ceremony ( with an emphasis on the groom changing his mind ) BUT lately this tradition has been passed over by brides and groom's who wanted to marry to the beat of their own drum AND we love it !  Now that we have heard the history of why not .....let's chat it up about WHY to ( LOL ! )
1. You get to see each other at the start of the day when your face is freshly beat, and your fashion is at it's peek .
2. It allows for a quiet moment alone with your intended
3. It provides the opportunity to talk through the nervousness of the day.
4. It also gives you the opportunity to take all of the photo's prior to the ceremony
5. AND....you get to  mix and mingle during in cocktail hour WITH your guest
It's a lot to consider BUT we love love them !

Carnival themed baby shower

I started planning Moments because I was always the go to person in our family. This weekend we shared quality time as a family, we celebrated the pending arrival of our new niece Reagan. From the announcement  I began planning the theme - "It's a carnival" my color palate was very girly -pink/white/and a splash of blue - the blue made me a little apprehensive BUT I think we rocked it out pretty well. So what did it look like you say ? Well here is our sneak peek....enjoy !

wedding invitation 101

As a wedding planner one of my favorite details is the wedding invitation. It's the first glimpse into your wedding day, and every detail sets the tone. We have all received that invite that made you swoon, as you impatiently counted down the days to the celebration. We wanted to share a few tips on creating the perfect invitation for your Moment. We suggest researching styles and budget 8 months prior to your wedding date, and narrowing them down to your top three. Once you have found the one, the next step is determining who will be inviting your guest.Traditionally it was the brides parents who extended the invitation but with the changing times it's not uncommon to see the couple inviting guest along with their parents. The next step is selecting the specific invitation wording, design, and assembling the guest list. Remember it's ok to add embellishments from ribbon, to branding and beading it's the big little detail. Once you have selected those details next is stuffing and mailing them out to your guest 8 weeks prior to wedding date. Then..... the buzz starts around your  moment. Nothing like receiving calls from guest who are excited  about your celebration, because they received  beautifully crafted stationery.  Now for a little eye candy......
