K + R a real Moment with your Galveston Wedding Planner

We are so excited to share the non- pro sneak peek of K + R . We received a phone inquiry from K about her pending nuptials to her high school sweet heart. Our chat was easy and I could not wait to meet the two of them to learn more about the details of  their celebration. We met on a cold and rainy Saturday morning, and again our conversation was quite easy she shared that they were planning two ceremonies one traditionally Hindu and the other traditionally American. My head did spin just a little because we had not planned a traditional Hindu wedding, but I  was excited non the less. I must say I liked the two of them immediately, so after the consult I  began to research the details of Hindu weddings. (even though I was not officially their planner) I went home excited about the possibility, but was a little anxious if they would select Moments to collaborate with them on the details. So you can imagine how excited we were to get the call....whoooo hoooooo. I can tell you than I learned sooooo much about the Hindu culture during the process. I can tell you the wedding ceremonies were beautiful and we are impatiently waiting the arrival of the professional images, but until then this will have to do. Mandy + Brian - Galveston engagement session

I met with Mandy on the island to discuss her tying the knot to Brian this fall. She gushed with excitement as she discussed their pending nuptials and  her bridal shoot. Of course she would wear her gown BUT Brian would be on site also, I immediately loved the idea and waited impatiently for the sneak peek of their Moment  via email, and then we wait to share with you ......... by the time you read this the two will be starting their new lives together as Mr. & Mrs.  and we wish them ALL of the love their hearts and hands can hold. Behind the Moment..... meet your Galveston Wedding planner

Occasionally as a planner I think it's important to let you see a bit of myself behind the Moment. I began planning weddings in 2005, but the journey down that aisle was not as glamorous. I was always the person who planned the social gatherings for family and friends but only for personal fun, until I stumbled across a book who's first  few lines would change how I thought about planning parties. The line read " If people ask you to do it that's your first clue that your good at it  " and that followed with " Why can't you get paid to have fun". Those two lines changed my world right side up ...or down depends on your perspective. From that moment on I knew that I wanted to be a planner ...now to explain my new passion to my parents who paid good money for nursing school. Fast forward to two semesters of floral design at the local community college, 1 course in cake design (hated it), and finishing up with a planning certificate at Ashworth. I know a pretty crazy mix right ? But I can tell you that all of those experiences make me well rounded when it comes to planning the details behind the scenes of weddings and parties that our clients have allowed us to participate in. I love that this job has allowed me to meet new people, share in the love stories of two families becoming one, to be creative, to collaborate with clients and vendors who have the same goal in mind....A beautiful Moment. I am thankful for the support of my family, friends and my team who has to listen to me gush about the details, scream about logistics, and has helped me out in tight spots THEY ROCK !!! Selecting the Wedding cake that wow 's

    Let's face it the wedding cake are one of the things your guest look forward to seeing on wedding day. The details make or break the deal, from fondants to butter cream and every thing in between. A few things must be considered when selecting the perfect cake for your Moment.  We wanted to share a few tips on selecting the perfect wedding cake for your celebration Start early in the planning process, it allows you time to select designs, flavors, and interview a bakery that is able to bring to life your vision. First things first is selecting the bakery,  you can start by online researching, asking friends or family who have recently tied the knot or celebrated a special occasion. Once you have them narrowed down to your top three you can schedule a face to face where you will get to know each other, once there you will share your thoughts on design and taste. P.S. remember to listen to the cake designer suggestions too - their goal is to create a beautiful cake that is a reflection of you. Once you have decided on the design next is the taste - select a flavor that makes you happy but also be sure to consider your guest too - you won't make every one happy but you should be midstream in your selection. Next step is how much cake you will need  to serve your guest and the bakery will be able to assist you in. Just remember it's your Moment to celebrate so have FUN! Garten Verein wedding of B + D

I loved Bonnie and David from our first consult, very laid back but sincerely wanted to welcome their guest to Texas in BIG fashion. (y'all know every thing is BIG here). Most every detail was planned via email, Skype and sprinkled with a few trips to Texas. I must say the details came together well. Bonnie and David married this past April on a gorgeous day in Galveston.(their style was shabby- chic that also incorporated a few surprises along the way) I love every image from Steve Lee photography and I wanted to share a few (really all) of my favorites with you.
