Happy Birthday Marlon A Birthday celebration at Galveston's Bienville Social

I wanted to take a Minute to say Happy Birthday Marlon. I had the opportunity to plan M + C 's wedding a few years back, and I have kept in contact with the two of them since. So,  you can imagine my excitement when they called me to plan Marlon's birthday bash in Galveston. We visited  two locations for Marlon's celebration BUT one was the clear winner from the start. The Bienville Social is a stylish venue for private parties, rehearsal dinners,and  intimate weddings. For Marlon's cigar themed event this back drop was perfect! The evening was filled with dancing, good food, friends who came to celebrate Marlon's 40th birthday celebration. And here are a few images from the night. I recently had an initial consultation with R+ J to discuss the details of their Moment. I love learning all of the details that the newly engaged have running around in their heads. R + J expressed interest in a venue that I had previously worked,and I honestly thought it would be a perfect fit for their style and personality. As it would turn out the young lady that walks the space with clients was out on vacation until the new year. So I suggested we walk through another venue in the same town she planned to get married. Honestly, you love the space or hate it. I was so unsure of how they would react to the space, but it was worth a try ....right ? When we pulled in they were unsure but as SOON as we entered the space it was ALL smiles and pretty much a done deal.The venue was built in mid 19th century as a place of worship. In 2009 the space went through a total renovation, the space now showcases stunning stain glass windows,hardwood flooring,welcoming double doors that can all be a beautiful back drop to celebrate your Moment.Needless to say R+J will be getting married Sunday,November 11,2012. By now I know your dying to see the space ..........

The BEST Marriage proposal ever !

We have entered "engagement" season, it typically last from Thanksgiving until the new year. I believe it's popular because most of the family is gathered together to create memories that last a lifetime. I can't even image the work (well maybe) that goes into planning the perfect Moment, to "pop" the question. Every proposal is unique and takes on a story of it's own. This particular story is my favorite because this young man paid attention to the details and incorporated them into his proposal ...their faith,love,family,friends and creativity.I don't want to give it away but I will say it's memorable.
